How it Works
If a physical robots.txt file exists in your webroot, THiS SEO reads and writes it directly. If no physical file exists, WordPress serves a virtual robots.txt via a built-in hook, and THiS SEO overrides it with your saved content.
Backup and Restore
Every save creates a backup of the previous version. You can restore the previous version with one click. The baseline hash used for change detection is updated automatically on each save.
PIN Protection
Saving robots.txt requires PIN verification when running the Pro version. This prevents accidental or unauthorized changes to this critical file.

Sitemap Reference
THiS SEO automatically adds a Sitemap: directive pointing to your configured sitemap URL. If you have an existing Sitemap directive in your robots.txt, it will be preserved.
