Missing ALT-text

Finds all images in your media library that are missing alt text and lets you add it without leaving the page. Alt text improves accessibility and helps search engines understand image content.

How to Use

  • The list shows all images currently missing alt text.
  • Click the alt text field next to any image to type directly in the list.
  • Click Save to update the media library entry.
  • The image disappears from the list once alt text is added.

Scope

This tool covers alt text at the media library level (the attachment’s alt text field in wp_postmeta). It does not scan for images hard-coded in HTML with missing alt attributes in post content.
